The site is not manned, you will be sent your pitch number the day before arrival and you're free to head onto site anytime after 2pm and set up. Someone will walk around in the evening to say hello but if you need anything just pop over to the farmhouse across the road as there's usually someone around.

We're a small family run site just 1 mile down the road from the stunning Lake Vyrnwy.

The farm is on its 4th generation of Thomas', so its been in the family for a while now!
​​
We offer pitched wild(ish) camping for tents and small campervans with easy access to lots of adventures for the whole family. Hire bikes from the local cafe, head out for a paddleboard or kayak on the lake with Bethania Adventure, wander in the forestry, or sit back and relax on site, the choice is yours.

This is our 4th year running the campsite and we always welcome your feedback!
The address is Lake Vyrnwy Campsite, Brynfedwen, Llanwddyn, Powys, SY10 0LS - the postcode will take you to the middle of the village or you can find us on Google maps.

We are open from Friday 28th June 2024 to Monday 2nd September 2024.
THE SITE
The site is lovely & peaceful, a handy 2 mins walk from the village shop & takeaway and only 1 mile from Lake Vyrnwy. With the river Vyrnwy flowing through at the far side, it's perfect to sit and chill.

Our site is suitable for tents or small campervans (T4 size approx).
With regret, we are unable to accommodate motor homes, large campervans or caravans.
​
We are also unable to accommodate large groups unless arranged via email as we are a family site not suitable for loud party groups.
​
We have different sized marked pitches for you to camp & all have a parking space for one car if needed.
​
Fire pits welcome, there is a concrete slab on each pitch for firepits/BBQ's to keep them off the grass.
You're welcome to bring your own fire pit or we have a limited amount available for you to use. Logs will be available to purchase for £5 cash only, please do not cut down any trees on the site for firewood.

WHAT WE OFFER
SPACIOUS PITCHES
Our pitches are generous sizes with most being 10m x 8m and the smallest being 8.5m x 8.5m with separate parking space of needed.If you don't think you'll fit in pitch, get in touch and we'll find a space for you! All pitches have a 2m gap between them.
FACILITIES
We have portable loos onsite, washing up sink and a refuse area so you can help us keep the site litter free.
PLEASE NOTE that we do not have showers onsite.
VEHICLE ACCESS
You can drive right onto the field up to your pitch to unpack and load up again. There's nothing worse than having to carry all your gear half way across the field! All pitches have a separate parking space if you can't fit the car on your pitch, most just opposite your pitch and some just a little walk.
DOG FRIENDLY
We're happy for you to bring your four legged family members with you. Please be aware that we neighbour livestock fields so dogs must be kept on a lead at all times and not left unattended on site.

RIVER ROW
Pitches 4 to 17
All of these pitches back down to the river, perfect to sit back and relax to the sound of the water.Pitches are 8.5m x 8.5m and space to park either across the top of your pitch or just a short walk away.
PITCHES 1-3
Pitches 1 to 3
These pitches are located in the top corner of the field. These are our biggest pitches measuring 10m deep x 13m wide perfect for bringing the whole family!
CENTRE FIELD
Pitches 18 to 34
These pitches are up the centre of the field. Each pitch is 10m deep x 8m wide and all of these pitches back onto a fence.

TIMINGS
Pitch up & pack down
PITCH UP
You are welcome to pitch up anytime from 2pm onwards, just head onto the field, find your pitch and set up. Someone will be over in the evening to say hello.
PACK DOWN
No need to rush in the morning, we ask that you pack down and leave your pitch by 11am.
(Plenty of time to treat yourself to a cheeky takeaway breakfast bap from the shop)

Bird Hides & Events
Lake Vyrnwy is an RSPB reserve and they've often got events on for the kids so check out their website for more info. There's also 3 bird hides for you to sit peacefully and see what you can spot. At the end of the Dam is the information gazebo for you to find out what's been spotted recently.

We're in the perfect location to head out and explore!
There's something for everyone, whether its a stroll up to the lake or through the forestry, a bikeride or run around the lake or a ride further afield, maybe over to Bala and back
(the views are worth it I promise!)
